Growing Creative Careers: Windsor & Region is an intensive professional development experience for artists, creatives and cultural workers living in Windsor-Essex area. This program is led by WorkInCulture in partnership with the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Centre and Arts Council Windsor & Region, and funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The program offers participants a training series that includes workshops, access to online resources and local experts, and facilitated peer mentoring circles. Participants who complete the program will come away with a detailed plan of action to move their careers/businesses/organizations forward.

Cohort 3: Planning Your Projects
This cohort will focus on how to build creative projects and programs, from idea to execution. Artists of all disciplines, creative professionals, community arts workers, arts organizations, and non-arts organizations interested in partnering with creatives, are invited to apply to this free, intensive training series on project development and planning, happening in the Windsor-Essex region from September to November 2022.
This cohort is geared towards participants who wish to develop or expand an existing project or project idea. Participants will work closely together to workshop their ideas with peers, and will come away from the cohort with the resources and knowledge needed to take their projects to the next phase. Learning will focus on such topics as: creating a project plan; structuring roles and responsibilities; building a contact network; creating a budget; and understanding funding sources and grant applications. Special attention will be paid to embedding collaboration and partnership development throughout your planning.

This is a free program. There is no cost to apply or to participate in the Growing Creative Careers training series.
20 participants will be accepted into Cohort 3. Participants must be based in the Windsor-Essex region.
The program will be delivered four times to four different cohorts over the course of 2021-2023.
